The story is cute and quirky, with elements like the Juno’s hamburger phone that left every teenager wanting one. Juno is one of Michael Cera’s first big roles, leading many different audiences to fall in love with him, though a lot of his future roles would be less wholesome.

3 This Is The End – 6.6 (2013)

While Michael Cera’s role wasn’t huge in This Is The End, there’s a couple of scenes he was in that became popular on the internet. The first scene is when he’s really high at the party, playing an exaggerated version of himself that is a leering, cocaine-snorting, and aggressive and tries to have threesomes in toilet-stalls with anyone who will say yes.

At one point, he tries to took Rihanna’s butt and she proceeds to slap him. The second famous moment is when he gets pierced by a street lamp and dies, falling into a large hole in the earth.

Molly’s Game tells the story of Molly Bloom, played by Jessica Chastain, who runs a high-stakes poker game for both the mafia and famous stars. When the FBI starts looking into her misdoings, she ends up in trouble and tries to get out of it. Michael Cera plays Player X in the film, who is a young Hollywood star.

He is a risk-taker and feels invigorated by poker, able to use his wealth and entitlement to get by. Though Michael Cera doesn’t play himself in the role, he plays an exaggerated version of a newly famous person.

It’s not surprising that Superbad, written by Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg, is Michael Cera’s #1 movie since Superbad was such a hit when it came out, changing the face of comedy for the next few years.

The movie tells the story of two high school seniors, played by Cera and Hill, who are best friends and forced to deal with separation anxiety when their plan to host rager of a party goes badly, leading the boys on some ridiculous adventures.
