Hulu’s Normal People, based on the book by Sally Rooney, premiered this year to rave reviews from both audiences and critics alike. The story is so beautiful and simple, yet keeps viewers hooked each episode because not only is the situation and the characters relatable but the chemistry between actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal who pay Marianne and Connell, respectively, is addicting and fans instantly fell in love with the young couple.
The acting and storytelling in this series is masterful and will be a show many revisit after their initial binge because the talent involved in making this series is so undeniable, much like many of the movies on this list.
10 The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby

This love story was first made in 1954 and was later remade in 1995. Fans of Normal People will remember that Marianne came from money while Connell did not and his mother actually cleaned Marianne’s family home.
Sabrina has similar elements. The title character is the daughter of a chauffeur who drives for a wealthy family and Sabrina falls in love with one of the sons of that wealthy family, but eventually ends up falling for both of the sons, who in return, fall for her.
1 Lady Bird
In addition to being a love story, Normal People is also a coming of age story. Marianne and Connell or not only trying to navigate their love but also their own lives as they grow up and become adults.
Finding love and finding yourself at the same time can be tricky, as Marianne and Connell prove throughout the series. In Lady Bird, Saorise Ronan, who plays the title character, struggles with the same thing, finding love and herself as she grows into her adolescence.
