This Is Us premiered on NBC in 2016 and had fans immediately hooked. The reception for the series was so great that the network renewed it for a second and third season before the first had finished airing. The network continues to renew the series two seasons at a time, having just announced that there will be a fifth and a sixth season for the show.

Each season answers just as many questions about the Pearson family as it asks, leaving fans continuously coming back to discover more about their favorite characters each week. 10 License To Wed

Fans of the actress who plays Rebecca Pearson on This Is Us, Mandy Moore, will love watching her in this romantic comedy, also starring John Krasinski and the late Robin Williams.

In this feature, Mandy plays Sadie, who is about to marry Ben. The couples’ nuptials get put on the fast track when the church Sadie wants to get married in has a last minute opening. Sadie and Ben must hilariously pass a series of tests given by the reverend of the church, played by Williams.

This movie, based on the musical by the same name and written by Jason Robert Brown, is all about a couple falling in and falling out of love. The music in this film take the audience through five years of courtship and marriage until it inevitably all falls apart.

The love story will remind fans of Jack and Rebecca’s beginnings and the way this story is told, with two different timelines, will remind viewers of the brilliant structure Dan Fogelman, This Is Us creator, uses.

8 Because I Said So

Another movie for Mandy Moore fans to watch, and this one has even more elements similar to that of the series Moore currently stars on.

This film is all about a mother’s relationship with her children, how those lines should be balanced, and can be crossed. Moore plays the youngest of four daughters, whose mother, played by the great Diane Keaton, impedes on her love life in an attempt to help speed up her love life.

This romantic comedy is structured in a similar style to This Is Us. The story is told through different timelines of the main character’s life. In the film, Ryan Reynolds plays Will, who is telling his daughter Maya, played by Abigail Breslin, the story of how he met Maya’s mother years before she was born.

Ben tells Maya about the three loves of his life, and it’s up to her to decide which is her mom. The story also allows Ben to realize he’s still in love with one of these three women.
