Captain America is one of the most popular superheroes of all time. He started gaining fans back in the 1940s when his comics were first released. Years later the character’s fame and popularity grew even more when Chris Evans’ version of the Hero debuted in the MCU.

10 Captain America Is Worthy

One of the best moments in Avengers: Endgame came when Captain America caught and then used Mjölnir. In this fan art, Emmshin has beautifully re-created the moment the hero wielded the hammer.

Mjölnir looks amazing with the cool lightning coming off of it. The artist has also done a good job of re-creating the outfit Captain America wore in the film with some brilliant coloring. Plus, he’s shown some nice attention to detail with the broken shield in Cap’s left hand (which was broken by Thanos during the scene).

9 Steve Rogers’ Journey

In this piece by Hlontro, we can see the journey Steve Rogers went through during the MCU, from the little guy he was at the start of First Avenger to a super solider to Captain America. Naturally, most fan art just depicts the hero in his superhero costume, so it is cool to see someone include the other versions of the character.

The artist has a really awesome art style that makes Steve Rogers look as wholesome as he should. Yet, he still manages to make the character look like a badass when suited up as Captain America.

8 Captain America Vs Darth Vader

Robert-Shane has done what Disney hasn’t, and that’s had Marvel crossover with Star Wars. The idea to pit one of media’s greatest heroes against one of it’s best villains was genius, and the art is equally impressive too.

The inclusion of an old school Captain America is welcome, and both his costume and muscles look excellent. Whereas, Darth Vader also looks great as his signature outfit has been masterfully re-created. The red glow from the lightsaber on both their clothes is a little touch that really adds to the visual of the piece.

7 Steve Rogers In Infinity War

We’ve seen the Marvel comics adapted into films, but how about the other way around? Zamberz has done a wonderful job of re-creating Chris Evan’s version of Steve Rogers into comic form. His hair, beard, and muscles in his neck are well-detailed and look terrific.

The outfit in this art looks identical to the one he wore in Infinity War, from its colors, right down to its little details like the battle damage on his chest. His new shields look like they’ve been ripped straight from the movie also.

6 Patriotic Captain America

It’d be a struggle to find a more patriotic image than Captain America wearing the American flag. Using the flag as a cape/cloak is a good look for The Captain (though it may be a distraction while fighting). Yet, it might just be Giando1611990’s artistic ability that makes it look great.

The coloring of the piece is brilliant, with the red, white, and blue on the shield and flag looking particularly fantastic. It’s not just the bold colors that are amazing though, the more subtle colors for the skin tone and shine on the shield are terrific too.

5 Paint Splatter Captain America

This is another piece focusing on the MCU version of the character. Although, Mad42Sam’s work stands out more than most due to the awesome looking paint splatter effect they utilized. The effect works well with Mad42Sam’s simple use of color (they only used red, blue, white, and black in the piece).

Despite using minimal colors, the artist still managed to include the important details like the features on Chris Evans’ face and the star on his chest. Plus, they managed to make the Avengers logo visible without overshadowing the main focus of the art, which is difficult when only using a few colors.

4 Civil War

Civil War is one of the most famous comic storylines of all time, whereas the movie adaptation is one of the most beloved entries in the MCU. Thus it is only right that at least one piece of fan art on this list depicts a fight between Captain America and Iron Man.

Explosions in the background, bullet casings flying through the air, and blood on both heroes, Jiuge has made the battle feel epic and like a real struggle. She has also nailed both men’s outfits. Captain America’s old school look with the big wings on the helmet is perfect. And Iron Man’s armor is equally stunning, as the shine on the body gives it a nice (and accurate) metallic look.

3 Battle With Black Panther

Another battle between heroes here, only this time Captain America is up against Black Panther. The thing that immediately catches the eye in this piece by Pureluck13 is Captain America’s shield. It has clearly just been knocked out of the Captain’s hand, and the artist has captured that well, with a beautiful looking motion blur. The shield itself has a nice shine to it as the metal object should.

Black Panther’s skin-tight suit is excellent from his mask to his claws. Most of Captain America’s costume is covered with shadows, but from what is visible is looks good. Plus, the scratch on the Captain’s face from Black Panther’s attack is a nice little touch.

2 Captain America Sketch

It’s unbelievable how good this sketch by Scotty309 is. It looks exactly like Chris Evans right down to the details in the face and hair. Speaking of details, the ones in the Captain America costume are also amazing, including the lines on the star, the shine of light on his shoulder, and the creases on the material covering the neck.

Additionally, having no color in the sketch except for the shield in the background makes for a nice visual. The artist has sketched art like this for other Avengers too, and they’re equally wonderful.

1 Dog Version Of Captain America

Perhaps the only way to make Captain America even more lovable is by turning him into a dog, and that is just what TalonDoodle has done. She did an amazing job of it too; as the dog looks adorable as Captain America.

It is impressive how well the artist managed to make the signature outfit suit the dog so well. Also, transforming the shield into a frisbee was a smart way to involve the iconic item into the art. Overall, this piece shows that Marvel can forget about Sam Wilson because if they want a new Captain America in the MCU, then a golden retriever is the best option.
