Disney is a spectacular company that has been producing films, TV shows, shorts, and even video games for almost an entire century. From Mickey Mouse to classic fairy tales to brand new stories, Disney provides us with wonderful tales enjoyed by many. Perhaps most recognizable are its animated feature films that all began with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

While many of these films have been a huge hit, every company has to release a few duds, and Disney is no exception. The critic based website Rotten Tomatoes has formed a list of theatrically released Disney animated movies and ranked them from worst to best. Here are the ten at the bottom of the barrel.

10 Bambi II (2006) – 50%

Bambi is a classic film released in 1942 about a little deer and his life in the forest, and he was given a sequel 64 years later. The film takes place in the middle of the original movie after Bambi’s mother is tragically killed. Bambi must go live with the Great Prince of the Forest, who happens to be Bambi’s father, where the fawn tries to win over the older deer’s heart and approval. While the original film earned a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, Bambi II was a bit of a bust, and was deemed an unnecessary sequel by critics.

9 Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) – 49%

Disney’s first sci-fi film, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, was released in 2001 and is about a young man named Milo who is set on finding the lost island of Atlantis that sunk thousands of years prior. He has found an ancient journal that he believes contains directions to the sunken city. Milo is soon chosen to lead an expedition to find Atlantis, and he sets off on the journey with several other explorers.

While critics praised Atlantis’ fast pace, they criticized the lack of depth in the characters and commented that the plot was somewhat hard to follow.

8 Peter Pan: Return to Never Land (2002) – 45%

The second sequel on our list is the film that followed the 1953 classic, Peter Pan. Wendy and her siblings are all grown up now, and the young English girl has children of her own, Jane and Danny. Wendy speaks fondly of her memories of Peter and Neverland, and she often shares the stories with her kids. While little Danny loves hearing his mother’s tales, Jane views them as nonsense and doesn’t believe a single word — until she gets kidnapped by Captain Hook, who believes she is Wendy. Critics found the movie’s songs forgettable and the story lackluster.

7 A Goofy Movie (1995) – 44%

The most famous gang to come out of Disney is Mickey Mouse and his crew, including his lovable pal Goofy. Goofy is the first of the clan to have a child, and he is now single-handedly raising a son, a teen named Max, in A Goofy Movie.

Like a lot of teenagers and their parents, Max and Goofy have a bit of a strained relationship, and there are often bumps in the road. Goofy is desperate to have a good bond with his son, but it isn’t easy. While the audience on Rotten Tomatoes gave the 1995 film a 70%, critics only gave it a 44%.

6 Planes: Fire and Rescue (2014) – 44%

Everybody remembers Disney Pixar’s movie Cars and its two sequels, but did you know that Disney also made a spin-off in the same universe, called Planes? This film spawned has a sequel, entitled Planes: Fire and Rescue. After causing a fire at a local airport, a plane called Dusty Crophopper decides to become a certified firefighter so that he can help reopen the airport, which was closed down for not having acceptable firefighters. The critics’ consensus on Rotten Tomatoes is that the movie is “flat and formulaic.”

5 Chicken Little (2005) – 37%

It’s the classic story of a tiny bird who thinks the sky is falling, and Disney brought it to the big screen in 2005 with their first fully computer-animated feature film Chicken Little. The story all starts when an octagon shaped piece of sky falls and hits Chicken Little in the head. When he tries to alert others, nobody believes him, but when it happens again a year later, Chicken Little finds himself in the middle of an alien invasion. While Disney added a new twist to an old familiar tale, critics dismissed the plot as unoriginal.

4 Brother Bear (2003) – 37%

In 2003, Disney brought us Brother Bear, a movie about an Alaskan boy named Kenai who is angered after his brother is killed when a large glacier breaks and falls. Kenai blames a bear that got out of the fall alive, and he kills it as an act of revenge and justice. This upsets the spirits, who decide to turn Kenai into a bear. He meets a young bear named Koda who is traveling alone, and Kenai finds himself now responsible for the cub as he heads to the mountains to become human again. As far as critics were concerned, this film was no better than Chicken Little.

3 Doug’s 1st Movie (1999) – 26%

You may remember the ’90s television show Doug that started on Nickelodeon and eventually moved to Disney. The show featured the young Doug as he makes his way through teenage life with his friends.

In 1999, Disney gave Doug his own film in which he and his buddies discover a monster living in a local lake. They accept the monster as proof that the lake is being polluted, and they must work to bring down the person at fault. Both audiences and critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a low rating, with RT calling it a “snooze fest” that shouldn’t have been made in the first place.

2 Planes (2013) – 26%

In 2013, a year before training as a firefighter, Dusty Crophopper was just a plane working in a cornfield with a dream of becoming a racer. Some of his peers, including his boss, stomp down on his hopes, but Dusty is determined to not let them, or his fear of heights, get the best of him. The pundits comment that the animation style, silly voices, and bold colors of Planes are capable of keeping children entertained for the duration of the film, but it pretty much lacks in every other area.

1 The Jungle Book II (2003) – 19%

The worst film on our list coming in at number one is The Jungle Book II. The sequel to the original Jungle Book (1967) came out over 40 years later with young Mowgli now living in the Man Village, but still longing for the life of the jungle that he once lived. After trying to bring other village children to the jungle with him, Mowgli gets punished by his adoptive father, but he soon makes it back to the jungle when Baloo comes to the village. Now missing his life among other humans, Mowgli finds himself torn between his two worlds. Critics believed that this film was not meant for the big screen and gave it a measly 19%.
