10 Chris: He Prefers His Australian Home

Liam lived in Malibu before his breakup with Cyrus, but Chris has always preferred Australia. He likes the relaxed lifestyle away from the showbusiness scene and we have to agree. We can only imagine how peaceful it must be to be secluded in his homeland with his family by his side.

It is fairly excessive too with things like a rooftop infinity pool, cinema room, game room, and even a mudroom. We can’t disagree with Chris’s decision on this one, and it is one reason why he is our favorite.

9 Liam: He Surfed Competitively For 5 Years

The two brothers are both avid surfers, but Liam has always had a greater passion for the sport than Chris. He surfed competitively for 5 years and it all started when he was 13-years-old. Liam had a dream as a child to become a competitor surfer, as all of his friends were surfers as well.

He even made it to the state rounds where he competed against the top surfers in the area. We are glad he chose acting, but his love for this sport pushes him to be the favorited brother by many fans.

8 Chris: He Supports His Wife’s Career

Chris Hemsworth is married to the beautiful Elsa Pataky and they have 3 children together. They decided that she would take time off from acting to start a family, but that doesn’t mean Chris has neglected her career in the meantime.

He is constantly promoting her through his Instagram, and most recently he has shared her book to the world. Chris knows she made a sacrifice to put her career aside for their family, and the facts that he hasn’t forgotten that makes him our favorite Hemsworth.

7 Liam: He Has A Dog Named Dora

Chris doesn’t have any pets, but Liam adopted a dog back in 2015. Miley was the one responsible for finding the dog for him at a local shelter called Wylder’s Holistic Pet Center and Rescue. He was immediately in love and named the dog after the show called Dora the Explorer because that is one of his niece’s and nephew’s favorite shows.

The pair are too cute together, even though she is ginormous, as they are always going on new adventures together. It is hard not to smile when we see them together in pictures, and this small detail makes him our favorite Hemsworth.

6 Chris: He’s A Marvel Icon

Chris is automatically a winner in many fan’s books because he plays the Marvel Comics’ Asgardian hero Thor. Liam had originally gone further in the auditioning process before they ruled him out due to his age, but that still doesn’t change our opinion on this one.

The personality Chris puts into Thor and his actions are beyond perfect. He even has several of Thor’s hammers in his home, with one of them being the bathroom, and it couldn’t make us any happier. Chris has embraced the role in every way as he continues in his endeavor to make movies people will want to see in theaters.

5 Liam: He Loves Squirrels

It came out a few years ago that Liam has a pure soul as he is overly obsessed with squirrels. He first saw one at Disney when it scampered across his path and this is where it all began, as he had never seen one before while he lived in Australia.

He views them as a comedic species that almost act cartoonish, and his pure joy over a creature we all hate is what makes him our favorite. It has opened our eyes to the beauty of these pests who empty our bird feeders as we watch their movements through the eyes of this Hemsworth who finds them hilarious.

4 Chris: He Hasn’t Always Been In Acting

Chris and Liam both worked normal jobs before they jumped into acting, but Chris definitely had the short end of the stick. Chris has worked in several labor and customer service positions as he has held jobs in construction, serving, bartending, and pharmacy before breaking into Hollywood.

The pharmacy job was probably his worst, as he spent days cleaning dirty breast pumps with a toothbrush for a paycheck. If that sounds monotonous, it was also gross as he scrubbed all of the hardened old milk off the machines. It makes him more relatable to us and his stint in this line of work makes him our favorite.

3 Liam: He Lives A Vegan Lifestyle

Chris has been on a vegan diet before, but Liam is completely on board with it. He gave up meat after he saw how it was impacting his body and the way animals were being mistreated as a result. Liam switched his diet shortly after this realization and the results to his health were instantaneous.

This diet has become a huge trend in recent years, especially as more celebrities support it, and it makes Liam a favorite over Chris to many fans. He hasn’t lost his excessive muscles either due to this switch as he manages to maintain it through new workout routines that work with this diet.

2 Chris: His Childhood Nickname Is Kip

Chris has a big personality, and apparently it started when he was younger and tried to say his name. Young Christopher attempted to sound it out, but instead, he ended up saying Kiptader. This led to his family nicknaming him Kip and this quirky detail about his past makes him a fan favorite.

The nicknames don’t stop there though as Chris Evans also nicknamed him Hemmy on-set. We love how he goes along with these names, and the stories behind them make it even better.

1 Liam: His Unforgettable Role In The Last Song

The Last Song was a movie that will live in our hearts forever as moviegoers swooned over this actor. The romantic side of Hemsworth was unleashed here, as we gushed over his romance with Cyrus. This adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks book was incredible, but Liam gave it the star power it deserved.

This role alone makes him a fan favorite over his brother because no one could ever replace him as Will Blakelee. It has become a timeless movie and the only person we can thank is Liam for his exceptional acting.
