90 Day Fiance How Long Will Geoffrey Be In Prison After Guilty Verdict

Geoffrey Paschel of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days fame was recently on trial for domestic assault, aggravated kidnapping, and interference with emergency calls and after Geoffrey was found guilty of all charges, the only thing left for the court to do is decide how long he will be in prison. The reality TV star’s conviction could potentially put him away for decades because of the severity of his crimes and Geoffrey’s sketchy history with the law.

On the popular 90 Day Fiancé spin off, Geoffrey pursued his Russian girlfriend Varya Malina, but behind his love story lurked a dark past. Not only has Geoffrey gone to prison for drug charges, he also had a history of domestic abuse. In 2019, before he began dating Varya, Geoffrey was the aggressor in a terrifying incident that included the assault and kidnapping of a former girlfriend. Recently, Geoffrey was on trial for the assault and tried to claim that his victim’s wounds were self-inflicted. Geoffrey’s defense didn’t sway the jury, and he was convicted on all charges and taken into custody to await sentencing.

Geoffrey won’t be sentenced until December 3, but the District Attorney General’s Office of Knox County, Tennessee, revealed they will be seeking an enhanced sentence. He reportedly faces a sentence of 12 to 20 years in prison with no possibility for parole. Given Geoffrey’s reality TV fame and October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, it’s very possible that the District Attorney General’s Office is looking to make an example out of the 90 Day Fiancé star.

But the length of his potential prison sentence is mostly related to Geoffrey’s criminal past and prior convictions. In addition to multiple misdemeanor convictions, Geoffrey has a significant rap sheet related to drug trafficking. The reality TV star has convictions for possession with intent to sell controlled substances along with two federal drug trafficking convictions. His significant criminal history will certainly be factored into the sentence for his current convictions, and it allows the court to subject Geoffrey to significant prison time. An enhanced sentence would not be surprising considering the viciousness of his latest crimes and overall pattern of criminal behavior.

The fame that Geoffrey gained on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days won’t help him when it comes to sentencing, and from what the District Attorney’s Office has said, the reality TV star could be looking at many years in prison. Geoffrey’s guilty verdict felt like justice served to many fans who have suffered abuse in their own lives. Viewers were glad when Geoffrey was ejected from the franchise and now they’re even more glad to learn that he’ll be going to prison for his many abuses. It’s a good thing Geoffrey is used to being in prison, because he could be there a long time.
