All The Extras On The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition BluRay

Here are all the extras featured on The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition Blu-ray. Disney’s 1989 animated musical The Little Mermaid is one of its most beloved movies. Loosely adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale of the same name, the movie tells the tale of Ariel – a mermaid princess living in the underwater kingdom of Atlantica who makes a deal with an evil sea witch to swap her tail for legs after falling in love with the handsome – and human – Prince Eric.

With its lovable characters, talented voice cast and a soundtrack full of catchy songs, The Little Mermaid was a huge hit. It went on to receive three nominations at the 1990 Academy Awards and took home Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for the calypso-style track “Under The Sea.’ Even today, more than 30 years since its release, The Little Mermaid is still hailed by film fans as one of the best animations of all time.

Like fellow Disney classics Lady And The Tramp and Aladdin, The Little Mermaid is about to get a revamp with a live-action remake that’s set to star Grown-ish actress Halle Bailey as Ariel and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric. Before the live-action version arrives, let’s look back at the extras featured on The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition Blu-ray from 2013.
