Alycia DebnamCarey Movies & TV Shows Where You Know The 100 Star

Where else have you seen The 100 star Alycia Debnam-Carey? Despite having a relatively modest number of movies and TV credits on her CV, Debnam-Carey has already appeared in an intriguing mix of projects. The Australian actress made her acting debut in 2003 short film Martha’s New Coat before appearing on episodes of shows like the long-running McLeod’s Daughters. She later made a move to Hollywood, which was chronicled in the fittingly-titled Australian documentary series Next Stop Hollywood. Debnam-Carey appeared on the show alongside other aspiring Aussie performers like Penelope Mitchell – who went on to appear in The Vampire Diaries – where she was close to nabbing the title role in The CW’s The Carrie Diaries before she lost out to another actress.

Alycia Debnam-Carey still got a role in horror film The Devil’s Hand while filming the series, which also starred Jennifer Carpenter and Colm Meaney. The movie itself received tepid reviews, but Debnam-Carey quickly moved on to a supporting role in found footage disaster movie Into The Storm. While the movie didn’t receive the warmest of reviews back in 2014 it was a decent-sized hit.

In 2014 Alycia Debnam-Carey joined the cast of post-apocalyptic drama The 100. This series was based on a young adult novel, with the premise seeing humanity returning to Earth after a century in space following a nuclear attack that rendered the planet uninhabitable – the 100 of the title soon learn this isn’t the case. Debnam-Carey played Lexa on the series, the leader of the Grounder clan. Lexa became a fan-favorite quickly, with LGBTQ viewers growing attached to the romance between her and main character Clarke. Sadly, the character was killed off in season 3, which proved to be majorly controversial and led to a social media outcry.

A primary reason Lexa was killed off from The 100 is that Alycia Debnam-Carey had joined the cast of spinoff Fear The Walking Dead. She plays Alicia Clark on the show, and is one of the few major characters to have survived from the very start of the show to the current season. Alicia has had to weather a lot during her time on the series, including losing her family.

Alycia Debnam-Carey has a big following thanks to Fear The Walking Dead, which has taken up most of her time in recent years. Outside of the show, she appeared in 2016 social media horror Friend Request and starred alongside Brenton Thwaites in 2019 thriller A Violent Separation. She also made a cameo appearance in the final season of The 100.
