Animal Crossing Best Lab Design Ideas (Happy Home Paradise)

The Happy Home Paradise DLC of Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows players to create their dream lab with its new features and facilities. At the start of the Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise DLC, players will be able to unlock the ability to create partition walls within rooms. This allows them to create gaps within their room for more customization options. For players looking to create their perfect lab, there are a few items that are required to complete the laboratory look.

Players can’t have a science lab without the essentials. They can get the Whiteboard from Nook’s Cranny for 2600 Bells in several variants. They can also pick up the Lab Experiments Set for 6000 Bells, Microscope for 3100 Bells, Writing Poster for 400 Bells, and Wall Clocks in several different colors for 690 Bells. These can create the overall laboratory aesthetic.

After collecting the fundamental items, players will then need to decide where they want to place their Animal Crossing island lab. It could be indoors, on the beach, or located somewhere else on players’ islands. This design theme can also be used when decorating villagers’ vacation homes on the Happy Home Archipelago and creating facilities like schools and hospitals on the main island in the Happy Home Paradise DLC.

Building a Mad Scientist Lab in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing Best Lab Design Ideas (Happy Home Paradise)

Players can create a quintessential Mad Scientist lab within their homes. This can be done within their basement after they have paid off all of Tom Nook’s loans or in a vacation home on the Happy Home Archipelago. Players can dim the lights and use alternate light sources like the Glowing Orb or Lab Experiment Set to set the mood.

In this design, players should keep the room light and maybe place pictures of some of the local villagers around it. They can unlock posters of their villagers by heading over to Harv’s Island and taking pictures with them. This is one of the more creative uses for Harv’s Island in Animal Crossing. It will be unnerving but can help sell the room as a Mad Science Lair.

Building a School Lab in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing Best Lab Design Ideas (Happy Home Paradise)

After designing enough vacation homes, players will unlock the School facility on the Happy Home Archipelago. Here, they can design a school lab. They can use items like lockers, anatomy dummies, classroom chairs, and desks. These can also be purchased from Nook’s Cranny if players would prefer to set up their school lab in their homes. It’s important to capture the clutter of a classroom in this design. Walls should have bookshelves and educational posters to bring together the full design.

Building a Marine Biology Lab in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Since the entirety of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is based around building a tropical paradise, players should use the local wildlife to help set up and sell their Marine Biology Lab. Players can place any fish or sea creatures they find on the island. They can combine this with a few lockers, test tubes, and papers to make it look like a remote field lab for study.

Animal Crossing lets players keep DLC items that were unavailable from the base game and bring them to their own islands. It also came with a new set of unlockable items. These new items can also be used to add even more flair to a laboratory’s design.
