Doctor Stranges Minotaur Apprentice Revealed in Multiverse of Madness Toys

A release of new action figures from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reveals Doctor Strange’s minotaur apprentice. Just as its title promises, Multiverse of Madness is set to take viewers on a wild ride. Although the film will be the second one in which Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is the title character, the next edition to the MCU intends to tie together almost every storyline from Phase 4. Naturally, with such an ambitious task, Multiverse of Madness’ cast list is growing crowded with both returning and first-time stars.

In addition to Cumberbatch’s sorcerer supreme, Elizabeth Olsen will be returning as Wanda Maximoff and continuing the Scarlet Witch’s story from where Disney+’s WandaVision left it. Multiverse of Madness is also expected to pick up some of Loki’s time-shifting loose ends, but which (if any) of the TV series’ stars will appear in the film has not been confirmed yet. As if all of that isn’t enough to keep track of, Xochitl Gomez will make her MCU debut as America Chavez, possibly alongside several unconfirmed new characters.

Now there is one more character who definitely will be introduced in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and that is Rintrah. Entertainment Earth reports that eight new action figures have been added to the Hasbro Legends line, showcasing the characters from the upcoming Multiverse of Madness. Each new figure comes with a piece of Rintrah, so fans will have to collect all eight if they want to build him. The line is now available for preorder at Entertainment Earth and gives fans their first look at Rintrah from the film, and rest assured, the pictures show he is still a furry, green minotaur. Rintrah is one of the more unique Marvel characters. In the comics, he is an alien from the planet R’Vaal in another dimension, and he only appears to be a minotaur from the Greek myths. Because he also possesses some magical abilities, Rintrah eventually becomes Doctor Strange’s apprentice. Based on the image of his action figure, Multiverse of Madness will probably stick fairly close to Rintrah’s comic-book origins. Still a massive green minotaur, the Rintrah figure wears a uniform previously seen on some of the disciples of Kamar-Taj in Doctor Strange.

While this toy line’s release confirms Rintrah’s appearance in Multiverse of Madness, it gives no other hints as to his role in the film. It wouldn’t be surprising if the only glimpse is of those short cameos that Marvel likes, especially considering no actor has been confirmed officially to play the role. Regardless, audiences will be excited to see Rintrah with the other characters joining the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness next year.
