Every Song In The Princess Switch 2 Switched Again

The holiday-themed The Princess Switch: Switched Again soundtrack features big names from pop music but doesn’t overload the story with fluffy cover songs. Instead, the Netflix film stays focused on the Christmas spirit, resulting in a variety of songs that provide a regal narrative tone – a perfect fit for a romantic comedy about royalty.

In The Princess Switch: Switched Again, Stacy DeNovo (Vanessa Hudgens) is now married to Prince Edward of Belgravia (Sam Palladio), and hopes to re-ignite the romance between her friends Kevin Richard (Nick Sagar) and Margaret Delacourt (Hudgens in a second reprisal role), the latter of whom will soon became the Queen of Montenaro. During the holiday season, Margaret’s cousin, Fiona Pembroke (Hudgens in a third role), complicates the switcheroo by transforming into the Queen-to-be. Incidentally, Stacy rallies her royal pals and tries to make everything right.

Unlike so many romantic comedies, The Princess Switch: Switched Again doesn’t use its soundtrack to drive the middle sections of the film. Rather, the music feels organically incorporated into the story, along with Alan Ari Lazar’s score, and the lack of familiar pop songs makes the holiday spirit stand out. Here’s every song in The Princess Switch: Switched Again.

“Thank God It’s Christmas” – Greisun & Michael Blum

“Underneath the Tree” – Kelly Clarkson

The Princess Switch: Switched Again soundtrack begins with “Thank God It’s Christmas” as Stacy travels to Chicago and meets with a heavily-bearded Kevin (who recently broke up with Margaret). Later, in Montenaro, the main characters decide to “deck the halls” as “Underneath the Tree” plays. Soon after, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” scores a ball sequence at the Montenaro Palace.

When Fiona enters the narrative in The Princess Switch: Switched Again, she interrupts a karaoke performance of “Bring the Snow” by her assistant Reggie. “Candy Cane Lane” plays a few minutes later when Fiona begins her physical transformation into Margaret. After a switcheroo sequence, Stacy attends a Montenaro Christmas event and watches a performance of “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen.”

The final act of The Princess Switch: Switched Again features the uncredited song “Canon in D Major” during an airport wedding sequence, along with an uncredited use of “Zadok the Priest” during a royal ceremony. The Princess Switch: Switched Again ends with “Under the Tree.”
