Every Star Wars Character In LEGO Star Wars Castaways

LEGO Star Wars: Castaways is the latest LEGO Star Wars game to be released, and as such, it’s got gamers wondering just how many characters from the movies appear in the game. In a departure from some other LEGO crossover video games, this entry isn’t incredibly plot-heavy. Rather, the Apple Arcade exclusive sees players teaming up with others to fight and adventure across a new planet. It’s the LEGO Star Wars franchise’s first online social game, though players can play in a single-player mode as well, and, like other LEGO games, it’s focused on customization.

Castaways offers players ample customization options for their characters. In fact, players can choose from hundreds of LEGO pieces when building their character, and because there are so many options, some characters’ designs might end up looking similar to established Star Wars characters, even if they aren’t present in the game. However, while these allusions to past characters are fun, some established characters actually do also feature.

LEGO Star Wars: Castaways focuses a lot on new characters, but its list of returning figures boasts some big names. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s character roster will be bigger, but Castaways has a different focus and its cameos from the movies are appreciated. When exploring the planet on which they’ve been stranded, players may stumble across a location called the Observatory, a place in which the planet’s ancient civilization recorded history. Here, players can access and play through simulations of past Star Wars events, meeting hologram versions of some of the franchise’s biggest names and “traveling” to some of the most iconic locations throughout space.

LEGO Star Wars: Castaways Includes Original Trilogy Favorites

Appearing before players in hologram form are many of the Star Wars series’ most iconic characters and locations. Players can see Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo, some of the series’ greatest heroes. Then there’s Princess Leia and Darth Vader, the epitome of good versus evil. Through the Observatory’s holograms, players will aid these iconic LEGO Skywalker Saga characters in their most pivotal moments throughout Star Wars history.

In addition to specific characters, many established organizations and places return in Castaways. Players can combat the Galactic Empire, including fighting back the Imperial Army’s hordes of Stormtroopers and Scout troopers. Players can also visit Tatooine, the planet famously associated with Jabba the Hutt. Many famous space ships also appear, including the Death Star and the Corvette seen in Episode IV: A New Hope. All of these simulation locations can be taken on with others online or by oneself.

The returning Star Wars characters in Castaways are:

LEGO Star Wars: Castaways has its main focus on character customization rather than allowing players to relive the movies, so it makes sense as to why it only features a few returning characters. For players looking for a more cinematic experience, there are plenty of confirmed upcoming Star Wars games that will have a more story-driven focus. In any case, LEGO Star Wars: Castaways excels at letting players relive certain past events while simultaneously introducing them to new characters and locations.
