With a new season on the horizon, Fortnite leakers have put an end to rumors that suggested a new round of DC heroes arriving in Season 6. The next chapter is starting in just a few days, and Epic Games has already revealed the first details of the upcoming epic finale. What comes next with the new season, however, is still unknown.

Chapter 2 Season 6 is about to start in Fortnite on March 16 with an epic conclusion to all the bizarre events of the current season. Agent Jones’ journey across universes and realities will come to an end in the so-called Zero Crisis Finale. Interestingly, it’ll be a single-player experience, which launches automatically whenever a player returns to Fortnite during Season 6. Gamers should also note that there are just a few days left to complete the remaining challenges and win cosmetic rewards, which will become forever lost once Season 6 starts.

Fortnite fans have been hoping for a massive DC crossover in the upcoming Season 6, much like it happened with Marvel’s intellectual property that invaded the game in Season 4. The event climaxed with a battle against Galactus, and a similar finale featuring DC heroes joining forces against Darkseid could’ve been a strong response to that. Interestingly, some recent rumors suggested that a DC crossover in Season 6 could indeed be a thing. It’s already been officially confirmed that Fortnite/Batman: Zero Point comic books are coming next month, implying that an in-game event of a big scale might follow. Unfortunately for DC fans, this is not the case. According to the reputable Fortnite leaker TaborTimeYT (via ShiinaBR on Twitter), Season 6 does not have a single trace of DC-themed content. As revealed by the announcement of the comic books, there will be some new Dark Knight-based cosmetics and skins for existing characters. However, there won’t be an all-season massive event like Nexus War or any new DC heroes.

The Season 6 Battle Pass is 100% not DC-themed. This was confirmed by @TaborTimeYT, who is known for correctly leaking a lot of Fortnite information in the past.

The anticipated Season 5 finale will make an unexpected turn toward a single-player experience, which will effectively solve one of the key issues of Fortnite’s season finales. Previously, players could miss such massive experiences because the number of people wanting to participate was exceeding server capacity. As a result, some gamers had to watch the final events on Twitch or YouTube, being unable to experience the epic moments themselves. Luckily, Season 5 finale can be played solo whenever a player launches the game for the first time during Season 6. In other words, the event is no longer limited by a specific time or date.

Despite the high hopes for a massive crossover, DC fans are left with nothing in Fortnite Season 6, except for a handful of Batman-themed skins coming alongside April’s comic books. The timing could’ve been perfect, though, as the upcoming premiere of Zack Snyder’s Justice League arrives just a couple of days later after Season 6 starts in Fortnite. To combine these two events would’ve been a brilliant idea. Hopefully, the leakers are wrong, and an exciting DC crossover event is still coming to Epic’s battle royale.
