The 2010 followup of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed carried on the goal of the first game, showcasing just how absurdly powerful the force can be. Once again focused on the story of Galen Marek a.k.a “Starkiller”, the secret apprentice of Darth Vader, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II was another terrific side story of the expanded Star Wars universe.

Along with the terrific story came some pretty incredible costumes, both for Starkiller (actually his clone) as well as plenty of the game’s supporting characters. From outfits inspired specifically for the game to costumes seen around the iconic Star Wars films, here are ten of the best costumes from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

10 Terror Trooper

The Terror Troopers were designed to be an elite squadron of Imperial stormtroopers modeled after the infamous General Grievous. Both the faceplates of their helmets and the long talons overhanging their gloves were inspired by the droid leader.

It seems as though this unique set of troopers were always meant to resemble droids as opposed to actual people in suits of armor. Their look, highlighted by dark colors with sparks of orange filtered throughout it, is still one of the cooler stormtrooper costumes you’ll see.

9 Tie Flightsuit

One of the first legitimate outfits Starkiller sports in the sequel game is the Tie Flightsuit. The costume merges the uniform of an Imperial Tie Fighter pilot with the test subject garments Starkiller wears at the game’s beginning.

The Tie Flightsuit costume is much less bulky than the traditional armor of the Tie Fighter pilots but still keeps the wholly black aesthetic. With one of the leather flaps pulled down, exposing the light blue of the Starkiller clone’s test subject outfit, the costume as a whole gets a little more flair than if he was just wearing the suit the way it was intended.

8 Blood Armor

A good amount of Starkiller’s cooler costumes all have one thing in common. They beautifully incorporate the color red amongst many others. Instead of opting for a single color making up the costume, these few make red the star of the suit, incorporating more muted colors around it.

One example of these types of costumes is the Blood Armor of Starkiller’s clone. The Blood Armor somewhat resembles a darkened version of Starkiller’s Temple Exploration costume from the first game, obviously utilizing the dark blacks and grays of the Sith than the whites or tans of the Jedi. It even looks as though it has the same lined black pants and sleeves used in Darth Vader’s iconic suit.

7 Jedi Leia

One of the cooler storylines of Star Wars, that fans got a brief look at in The Rise of Skywalker, features what it would look like if Leia had embraced the path of a Jedi. Her connection to the force has always been well-known, but what she would look like as a Jedi is rarely seen. During the Battle of Endor DLC, Princess Leia ditches her rebel outfit from Return of the Jedi to showcase a new outfit inspired from her original white costume, but with a Jedi twist that makes it more practical for combat. The look is made complete, and ultimately much cooler when she reveals her yellow lightsaber.

6 Boba Fett

It’s hard not to pay tribute to the iconic costume of Boba Fett. The green Mandalorian armor he wears is identical to his suit of the original Star Wars trilogy.

There’s not much to the armor’s appearance that you don’t already know. However, even a costume that’s been seen so many times and for such a long time can be considered one of the best. Boba Fett’s iconic armor will always be one of the coolest costumes that Star Wars has to offer.

5 Experimental Jedi Armor

Aside from the Temple Guards, The Jedi have never really been known for wearing full suits of armor, especially those accompanied by face-covering helmets. Well, The Force Unleashed II showcased an example of what a suit of Jedi armor would look like.

The armor is essentially what you would expect a white Sith outfit to look like. It uses a more sleek design, opposing a bulkier set of armor like Vader’s, with light shining from the helmet. As the “experimental” of the title gives away, this armor probably wasn’t around for long and was specifically meant to be worn by Starkiller. No matter, though, the armor is designed incredibly and would be awesome to see brought to the big screen somehow.

4 Luke Skywalker in Dagobah Fatigues

One of the cooler aspects of the Force Unleashed games is its incorporation of iconic costumes from the original and prequel Star Wars trilogies. There aren’t too many that players can use that aren’t a part of additional mod packs, but there are those select few.

In the franchise’s second game, one of the best callback outfits pays tribute to Luke Skywalker’s time on Dagobah. With Yoda slung over his back, it exactly mirrors the battered and worn outfit that he wears during his Dagobah training and it looks absolutely perfect.

3 Maulkiller

One of the major themes of the second Force Unleashed game is the expansion of the cloning process. As the clone troopers became less and less common, and regular people took over as stormtroopers, the cloning process phased out. At least that’s what everyone is led to believe.

As the game exposes, Darth Vader began running a cloning process of his own, using his former apprentice’s DNA at the foundation. One of the many clones that he creates is Maulkiller. This clone is essentially just a mashup of Darth Maul and Starkiller’s DNA, showcasing a look nearly identical to Maul’s but instead of being red, he’s gray. That being said, you could create a version of Maul in basically any color and it would be just as cool as his original design.

2 Jedi Hunter

Just like the original games, The Force Unleashed II has some incredible alternate looks for Starkiller. One of the best of them all is the Jedi Hunter. Much like the Blood Armor, this costume’s aesthetic is made by the use of red. To go along with the costume’s armored elements there are beautiful drapes of red including a fantastic red hood to complete the entire look. All in all, it’s an amazing look that gives Starkiller a real sense of malice, and its a shame it was an outfit only used in the game.

1 Dark Apprentice Robes

Although the main clone of Starkiller was able to defy Darth Vader, some were much more compliant. One of his most trusted clones wore a costume, titled the Dark Apprentice Robes, directly inspired by Vader’s iconic suit.

The head-to-toe all-black look is incredible and makes the clone feel just as dark, menacing, and powerful as his master. It even utilizes a robotic chest piece just like Vader. Just as we’ve seen in other Sith Lords, any costume inspired by the aesthetic of Darth Vader is ultimately going to look fantastic.
