For 12 years fans watched as Raj struggled to talk to women and have a successful long term relationship with any human of the opposite sex. And while all of his friends ended the series with their happily-ever-afters, Raj remained single with no future hope of love in sight.

Raj might not have been the lady’s man of The Big Bang Theory crew, but he did have a few words of wisdom and relatable quotes about love and relationships. Here are Raj’s 10 funniest quotes about love:

10 “If I were hitting on you, you’d know it ’cause you’d feel uncomfortable and a little sad for me.”

Watching Raj attempt to flirt with women was downright painful at times as his interactions with women was typically uncomfortable for everyone involved. Raj was not the smoothest talker or the most confident man, but it didn’t stop him from trying to get a date, once he overcame his fear of talking to women.

Most people have been in the same position as Raj though, they awkwardly failed at trying to flirt and then they simply ended up feeling sorry for not only themselves but also for everyone else who had to witness the fiasco.

Sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do in order to get a woman’s phone number. Raj proved this when he was a little too eager at the thought of poisoning his beloved dog, Cinnamon, in order to get the veterinarian’s phone number in season 7, episode 15 “The Locomotive Manipulation”.

The veterinarian seemed to understand Raj’s unique relationship with Cinnamon and almost admire him for how much he loved his dog. If only she knew that he was willing to poison his dog, just to get a date with her.

Every fan knows how much Raj despises Valentine’s Day as he is often alone on the holiday filled with Cupid, flowers, and chocolate. But this quote is one of Raj’s best quotes as it reminds those without a Valentine’s date to still love themselves.

This was a touching moment, until Raj ruined it. After Raj told Amy he would be spending Valentine’s Day with the big telescope, she tried to support him by saying how his plans sounded romantic.
