The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Requiem, a “massive expansion” to the tabletop game The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, has surpassed its initial funding goal by more than 5000%.

The campaign has surpassed $5.4 million in funding with little over a day left for donations. When the campaign for the expansion initially launched, it reached its funding goal of $100,000 in a few minutes and secured over $1 million within 90 minutes. In its first day live, it reached nearly $3 million in backer donations and has since more than doubled The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls’ original funding. The original game began shipping to backers in 2018.

The tabletop game is based upon the highly rated 2011 roguelike video game of the same name, designed by Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl. McMillen is also responsible for the creation of the tabletop card game. The expansion is almost as large as the base game and was announced in tandem with The Binding of Isaac’s official DLC expansion Repentance, which The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Requiem will incorporate content from.

In addition to items and enemies from Repentance, Four Souls Requiem’s Kickstarter doubles as a massive online market for related collectibles and gear, which has helped to increase its total backing. Launched on June 1, the campaign will conclude at the end of the day on July 1.
