During the Microsoft E3 2016 press conference, a new trailer for The Division reveals gameplay and a release date for the first paid expansion called Underground.

As many expected, Microsoft came out swinging during its E3 2016 press conference, showing off not only a new Xbox One model, but trailers and gameplay for many of its upcoming games. One of the games featured was for Ubisoft’s popular third-person shooter, Tom Clancy’s The Division. A new trailer showed off gameplay from the first of three paid expansions, known as Underground.

The minute long trailer begins with the reveal that in the aftermath of the main campaign, many of the numerous factions in The Division managed to regroup underground, preparing to strike once more. In addition to showing new underground locations and what looks to be some sort of underground base of operations for the player, the trailer promises players randomly generated missions and deadly urban dungeons filled with traps and other things players should be mindful of.

Underground is set to arrive for Xbox players first thanks to a timed exclusivity deal between Microsoft and Ubisoft. While no additional details were provided outside of the trailer, fans shouldn’t have to wait long as many assume The Division will be a talking point for Ubisoft when its press conference kicks off at 1pm PST. If the last couple of content updates are any indication, players should at the very least expect to see new gear, new gameplay mechanics, and a new incursion mission similar to what was added with Clear Sky and Falcon Lost.

Two additional paid expansions called Survival and Last Stand are planned, though specifics and release dates have yet to be revealed as well. Survival is expected sometime later this summer while Last Stand is expected some time later in 2016.

Originally highlighted in the season pass reveal five months ago, not much has been said about the paid expansion outside of the fact that it would take players underground into the maze like system of New York City’s subway. The official trailer confirms that June 28 is indeed the launch date for Xbox One players, as originally leaked out from regional Amazon storefronts for Germany and the United Kingdom.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Underground launches for Xbox One players on June 28, followed later by PC and PlayStation 4.
