The free-to-play multiplayer for Halo Infinite has already launched, and its campaign will be the next component to release. After a delay to Forge and Halo’s new co-op campaign, Infinite is going live in piecemeal fashion. Its official launch date is December 8, but now that the multiplayer dropped early (albeit technically into beta), the only game mode coming on launch day is the campaign, and everyone will be able to play it at the same time, meaning the time it goes live depends on regional time zones.
Halo Infinite was originally supposed to release alongside the Xbox Series X and Series S, helping to bring in the new console generation last year, but 343 Industries opted to delay its game in order to add an extra layer of polish. The delay came shortly after a disastrous campaign reveal, which was mocked for its poor visuals. Xbox and 343 took it all in stride, though, and it would appear that the initial reveal has been immortalized in Halo Infinite’s campaign mode.
The launch of Halo Infinite’s campaign looks to be timed for the benefit of the western world. It will go live in North and South America in the late morning/early afternoon, but Western Europe gets the most convenient time slot in the evening on the Wednesday that December 8 falls on. Unfortunately for a majority of Asia and Australia, the Halo Infinite campaign drops either in the middle of the night or very early in the morning on December 9.

The Halo Twitter account shared a helpful map (seen above) of certain time zones’ launch times for Halo Infinite’s full game, but the following list includes every one shown, plus some others with inclusion of their offset from Coordinated Universal Time:
- 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (UTC-8)
- 11:00 AM Mountain Standard Time (UTC-7)
- 12:00 PM Central Standard Time (UTC-6)
- 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5)
- 3:00 PM Brasilia Standard Time (UTC-3)
- 6:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (UTC)
- 7:00 PM Central European Time (UTC+1)
- 8:00 PM Easter European Time (UTC+2)
- 9:00 PM Arabian Standard Time (UTC+3)
- 9:00 PM Moscow Standard Time (UTC+3)
- 11:30 PM Indian Standard Time (UTC+5:30)
And here are those that fall on December 9:
- 2:00 AM Hong Kong Standard Time (UTC+8)
- 3:00 AM Japan Standard Time (UTC+9)
- 5:00 AM Australian Eastern Daylight Time (UTC+11)
- 7:00 AM New Zealand Daylight Time (UTC+12)
Halo Infinite is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, and no doubt the player count will be impressive on launch day, especially since it’s available on Xbox Game Pass. It will involve the long-awaited search for Cortana by Master Chief, and features the series’ transition into a semi-open world format. The multiplayer for Halo Infinite can already be played on Xbox and PC, but everyone will have to wait until December 8 for the campaign.
