Which Pokémon Still Arent In Pokémon GO

Finding out how many Pokémon are in Pokémon Go is a difficult task; finding out how many are missing and which species they are is even more challenging. Pokémon Go hosts nearly all the pocket monsters from every generation of the main series Pokémon games, but there are still many that have not been added to the app. Between the mythical Pokémon who have not been given an event and the Pokémon from generations that only just joined the game, which Pokémon are still missing from Pokémon Go?

Pokémon Go has successfully added all of the Pokémon from the first and second generations. However, after these two generations the selection of Pokémon has been patchy. Pokémon Go typically wrings in pocket monsters from a generation in waves and then moves onto the next generation once most from the previous one have been added. This has resulted in the number of Pokémon species excluded from the game to be unclear.

For the most part, almost all species of Pokémon between the first and fifth generations have been added to Pokémon Go. However, those from Pokémon: X and Y and Pokémon: Sword and Shield are more sparse in Pokémon Go, although a recent update did bring in more Pokémon from both Kalos and Galar.

Which Pokémon Are Not In Pokémon Go?

None of the original Pokémon from Pokémon: Sun and Moon have been added to Pokémon Go – only the Alolan variants have joined in on the fun. The same is mostly true for Pokémon Sword and Shield, but Obstagoon, Perrserker, Sirfetch’d, Mr. Rime, Runerigus, Falinks, Zacian, Zamazenta, Zarude, and the Skwovet and Wooloo lines have all joined Pokémon Go. While most of the Pokémon missing from Pokémon: X and Y are in the latter half of that game’s Pokédex, several of its Halloween-themed Pokémon will join Pokémon Go in an upcoming update. What’s left is a list of missing Pokémon from the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth generations that includes regular Pokémon, legendaries, and Mega Evolutions.
