YuGiOh! Reshef Of Destruction 10 Strongest Duelists Ranked

The strongest and most difficult duelists to defeat in Yu-Gi-Oh: Reshef of Destruction are introduced once the game is beaten, reloaded, and a new map called the Hall of Eternity appears for players to navigate. Once inside the Hall, Yugi faces an increasingly formidable gauntlet of duelists that include such notorious franchise enemies as Maximillion Pegasus, Seto Kaiba, Yami Yugi, and many more.

Armed with extra powerful cards (10-20x), special skills, unique weapons, and varying life points, the duelists in the Hall of Eternity provide several distinct challenges that are very difficult to overcome.

10 Shadi

Of the strongest duelists in the Hall of Eternity, the easiest to defeat is Shadi. Although he starts with an impressive 30,000 Life Points which must be depleted to defeat him, his relatively limited card deck gives him a fighting disadvantage.

Often using the Ancient Deck that includes the Millennium Golem and Sengenjin cards, Shadi’s ability to unleash Beast-Warrior monsters makes him a tough opponent. On rare occasions, defeating Shadi in the Hall will result in him bestowing the Winged Dragon of Ra (Battle Mode), which will help a player advance through the game.

9 Paradox

Although he has a limited role in the main game, when he appears in the Hall of Eternity after the game is beaten and reloaded, Paradox appears as a mighty duelist who also starts off with 30,000 Life Points. Dubbed the sage of all duelists, Paradox uses his wisdom and fighting experience to trick opponents and put up a heck of a fight.

Armed with multiple copies of Pot of Greed and Feather Duster cards, the best way to defeat Paradox is to lay one card down at a time to lay a series of traps rather than attack with multiple cards and have all of them destroyed at once in a single counterattack.

8 Dark Joey

Armed with mainly Warrior and Beast-Warrior monsters in his deck, Dark Joey begins his quest in the Hall of Eternity with 30,000 Life Points, the lowest amount for duelists. The one-time bully turned comic relief uses a signature Time Wizard and Baby Dragon combo move to thwart his enemies.

While Dark Joey is a formidable duelist, his younger age and lack of experience give him a disadvantage when compared to some of the wilier and more grizzled veteran fighters who possess a wealth of wisdom from past duels.

7 Reshef The Dark Being

While Refresh the Dark Being does not appear in the Hall of Eternity (only nine duelists do), the main antagonist in the series other than Pegasus starts with 40,000 Life Points, making him even more difficult to defeat than those with 30,000 at the start point.

Using his trusty Beatdown Deck, Refresh will mount vicious attacks by using three copies of the Swords of Revealing Light and Change of Heart cards, both of which also help him to prolong his life and usurp power from his rivals. When all else fails, Refresh will summon the almighty Egyptian Gods and defeat his opponents that way.

6 Noah Kaiba

YuGiOh! Reshef Of Destruction 10 Strongest Duelists Ranked

Bolstered by twice as many Life Points as the others with a whopping 60,000, Noah Kaiba is an extremely difficult duelist to defeat in The Hall of Eternity. Even when a player depletes his life source, Noah replenishes his Life Points at a rapid clip by using his trademark Spirit Deck.

The best way to defeat Noah is to remain patient, wait for properly timed counterattacks, and make strategic sacrifices of certain cards in a player’s deck. He will use the Aeris, Chiron the Mage, and Skelengel in various attacks, all of which can be countered by using a Raigeki card.

5 Yami Bakura

YuGiOh! Reshef Of Destruction 10 Strongest Duelists Ranked

Yami Bakura enters the Hall of Eternity with 60,000 Life Points, using her versatile Occult Deck to unleash zombie ghouls and monstrous beasts such as the Portra and Headless Knight to defeat his opponents. He’ll also use the Cursed Twin Dolls card to mill enemy decks and the Ghost of Fled Dreams card to lure opponents into disadvantageous attacks.

Trapping doesn’t work on Yami Bakura. The most effective way to defeat him is to bombard Yami Bakura with multi-card attacks that don’t give him enough time to react and strategize.

4 Yami Marik

In addition to beginning with 60,000 Life Points, Yami Marik has the added power of unlocking the Winged Dragon of Ra (Phoenix Mode), a level 12 Pyro Monster card with an equivalent 4,000 attack and defense score. As such, Yami Marik is not easy to defeat in the game.

The sadistic duelist uses his Immortality-Torture deck to inflict the utmost harm on his enemies with power-draining cards such as the Helpoemer, Plasma Eel, Coffin Seller, and Viser Shock. Yami Marik will even attack when his cards are face down, so take extra precaution when facing him.

3 Maximillion Pegasus (Sol Chevalsky)

YuGiOh! Reshef Of Destruction 10 Strongest Duelists Ranked

While Maximillion Pegasus is infamous for being one of Yu-Gi-Oh’s main antagonists, he curiously starts off in the Hall of Eternity with a minimum of 30,000 Life Points. Still, in the guise of Sol Chevalsky, his strategic trap cards such as the Trap Displacement, Dragon Capture Jar, Doppelganger, and Magical Neutralizing Force make Pegasus a very strong opponent.

The best way to defeat a strong trapping player like Sol is to employ a sacrificial counter-strategy that allows Sol to kill a player’s weaker monsters before unleashing a powerful multi-card attack.

2 Yami Yugi

YuGiOh! Reshef Of Destruction 10 Strongest Duelists Ranked

Yami Yugi not only starts off with the maximum 60,000 Life Points, but he also possesses the Slifer the Sky Dragon, a level 10 Divine Monster card to go with Yugi Muto’s trademark decks. With the omnipotent Egyptian Gods and Ceremonial Battle cards to boot, Yami Yugi is one of the toughest duelists in the game.

One of the easiest ways to defeat Yami Yugi is to sacrifice a multi-pronged frontline of weak monsters in a player’s deck, reinforce them with a backline of stronger monsters, and wait for Yami to make the first move and counter with a massive multi-monster attack.

1 Seto Kaiba

The iconic part-hero-part-villain Seto Kaiba starts off in the Hall of Eternity with the max 60,000 Life Points and possession of Obelisk the Tormentor, a level 10 Divine Beast-Monster with a balanced 4,000 attack and defense ranking. Along with his three ultra-powerful Blue-Eyes White Dragons, Fusion Monster, and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon cards, Seto is the most formidable duellist in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction.

The beatdown strategy employed by Seto’s cards is relentlessly punishing and nearly impossible to overpower, leaving few options other than the luck of a good draw of cards to counter with. A player’s best bet is to outlast Seto in a long war of attrition.
